Whereby rooms open directly in your browser. Join from Portalry and allow microphone/camera to enter the call.
What you need before you join
- Use a modern browser such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari.
- Allow microphone and camera permissions when prompted.
- If the room is locked, wait for the organiser to admit you.
Join in a few steps
- Click "Join Room" in Portalry to open the Whereby room link.
- Enter your display name and allow mic/camera access.
- Join the room and mute your microphone when you are not speaking.
Helpful tips
- Use headphones to reduce echo and improve call quality.
- If video quality drops, turn off HD or disable your camera temporarily.
