Integration features

Members will click “Join Room” on your portalry to launch Whereby. Use this checklist to give them a smooth landing every time.

Portalry recognises Whereby room links (for example, whereby.com/room-name) and presents a clear Join Room button.

What Portalry handles for you

  • Detects Whereby room URLs and labels them as Whereby.
  • Uses room metadata when available, and falls back to the room name from the URL path.
  • Keeps one stable room link ready for recurring sessions.

Setup checklist

  1. Create your Whereby room and copy the URL (for example, https://whereby.com/tobyberesford).
  2. Paste the link into Portalry and confirm it opens the expected room.
  3. If the room is locked, mention admission expectations in the portal description.

What still lives in the platform

  • Portalry cannot configure room locks, recording, or host controls—manage those in Whereby.
  • Attendance and chat history remain in Whereby.

  • Reuse the same room URL for recurring sessions so members always know where to join.
